Surviving Summer

It has been so long, has it not? What has been happening to us?

A more efficient question would be "what hasn't been happening?" (Because so much has been happ---YOU shut up!)

There have been summer adventures!

Little Jamaica!

Cousins!

Stillmans! Sand Hollow Aquatic Center!

Lowes! Hanging out in Cedar City!

Family vacations!

Newport Beach

Anniversaries!

Twelve years, beeyotches.

A Cruise. To. Alaska. That would blow. Your. MIND.

Juneau, Alaska. That's the cruise ship where Tyler and I took 2 to 3 naps per day.

I never thought about glaciers. Now I love glaciers because they are just that majestic and beautiful.

Alaska is rainy. So, so rainy.

Nephew coming home from a mission!

Sam Newman returning from Wisconsin!

Nephew departing on a mission!

Josh Newman departing to Texas!

School starting!

Try not to love them. I try unsuccessfully all the time.

Preschool starting! Crying at every drop-off for two weeks!

It's better now and I am as free as a bird on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Braces coming off!

She is hereby instructed to stop growing up. Thus far she has brazenly flouted our authority.

There are other things in there. It feels like we never stopped running all summer.

Now, however, everything has changed. Things are relaxed and easy. No homework to do or lunches to pack. The kids love soccer and piano practice. Tyler is super not-busy at work. I am getting 10 hours of sleep a night.

I'm a liar and you already knew that.
